2. Do I need GL or a BOP? General liability handles third-party bodily injury, property damage and (for most classes) personal and advertising injury, with per-occurrence limits of $300K, $500K, $1M or $2M. A BOP adds property and business income protection. A BOP adds coverage for shelving, coolers and inventory plus business income if a covered loss closes the doors.
